Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Operations Technician on 1st shift (07:00am - 03:30pm). You will support safety, quality and lean initiatives while performing machine turnaround and preparation for DMLS 3D printers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of manufacturing experience; metal powders and additive manufacturing experience are a plus. A collaborative, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Additive Manufacturing or metal powders preferred.
  • Basic understanding of machine tools (milling, lathe, drill press).
  • Strong teamwork and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

  • Support safety, quality and lean initiatives / policies as needed.
  • Read, understand, and use SOPs, JSAs, and production schedules.
  • Collaborate in a team-based environment where priorities shift.
  • Perform machine turnaround and setup for DMLS 3D printers.
  • Work with basic shop tools and hand tools.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and relay critical information to the team.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and shipping finished products.

Additive Manufacturing Operations Technician

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will support and participate in current and new safety, quality and lean initiatives / policies as business needs arise
  • Additionally, you will read, understand, and use Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Job-Safety Analysis’ (JSA), and schedules to accomplish daily production tasks
  • You possess the ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment where priorities may shift
  • You will be expected to perform all functions related to machine turnaround and preparation for Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) 3D printers
  • You have proven experience working with basic shop tools and hand tools
  • Further, you will be expected to trouble shoot operational issues and relay critical information to the team
  • You will be tasked with basic ordering of supplies and shipping products once production is completed
What Makes You Great
  • A High School diploma / GED is required. Advanced degrees or technical certifications are a plus but not required
  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience
  • It is preferred that you have experience in Additive Manufacturing or working with metal powders but not required
  • Moreover, you must have a basic understanding of machine tools (milling, lathe, drill press, etc.)
  • You have experience working in a technical capacity with a manufacturing focus
  • You display organizational skills with attention to detail and are self-motivated
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite are preferred for this role
