Job summary

The Montefiore Medical Center Clinical Manager for the Division of Services for Addiction will provide clinical supervision to the counseling staff at the Melrose Wellness Center. This role includes developing clinical programs, policies and procedures, accountability systems, and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations while supervising and evaluating clinical staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring treatment status for patients with AIDS and HIV, psychiatric disorders,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling required
• New York State license as LCSW, LMHC, or PhD in Psychology required
• Three years of experience working with patients with Substance Use Disorders required
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Expertise in the assessment and treatment of substance abuse required
• Proficiency in Excel and other spreadsheet/database systems to track counselor progress

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment status of patients with AIDS, HIV infection, psychiatric disorders and child welfare issues
• Ensure patients receive optimal clinical services appropriate to their level of need
• Provide comprehensive psychological services to patients in crisis when clinic physician is unavailable and document services
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies for clinical components of treatment and participate in accreditation activities
• Attend interdisciplinary case conferences and assist in developing and enforcing clinical policies and programs
