Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LCDC) to provide treatment and counseling to support recovery from addictions and mental health disorders. You will conduct assessments, lead group, individual, and family sessions, and coordinate aftercare with community providers.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, documentation, case management, and liaison work with insurance carriers.

Qualifications

Requires bachelor’s degree in social services, addiction, mental health or closely related field with 3+ years of post-bachelor experience or master’s degree with 1+ year post-master experience.
Must have current licensure as social worker, professional counselor, therapist or addiction counselor per state agency.
CPR certification and de-escalation training required; first aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

Conduct client assessments to identify history, presentation, treatment needs and risk.
Lead group counseling, individual or family sessions using evidence-based modalities.
Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed.
Document care, treatment and incidents clearly and timely; complete aftercare planning.
Liaise with insurance carriers and referral sources; perform case management.
Educate clients and families about substance abuse and psychiatric issues.
Coordinate educational workshops and outreach within hospital and community.
