Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree in Lubbock, Texas seeks a Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LCDC) to provide treatment and counseling for addiction recovery, and to support families as needed. The role is onsite and emphasizes assessments, treatment planning, group and individual sessions, crisis intervention and accurate documentation.

Education requires a bachelor's in social services or related field with 3+ years of post‑Bachelor experience, or a master's with 1+ year post‑Masters experience.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in social services, addiction, mental health or closely related health services field with 3+ years of post-Bachelor degree professional experience in the addictions or counseling field
• OR master’s degree in social services, addictions, mental health or closely related health services field with 1+ years of post-Masters degree professional experience in the addictions, therapy or counseling field
• Degree must be from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Lead client assessments to identify history, current presentation, problem areas and treatment needs.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of chemical dependence services required by the program.
• Prepare and carry out initial treatment planning and progress reviews.
• Lead group, individual or family sessions and document as required.
• Provide client and family education on substance abuse and psychiatric problems.
• Ensure timely, clear documentation of client care and incidents.
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed.
• Plan and document aftercare for assigned clients.
• Act as liaison with insurance carriers and referral sources.
• Provide case management ensuring individualized quality care.
• Conduct educational workshops in hospital and community.
