Job summary

The Ranch at Dove Tree in Lubbock, TX is seeking a PRN Counselor - LCDC-I or LPC-A to support clients in recovery from addictions and mental health disorders. The role involves assessments, treatment planning, and group/individual sessions, with crisis intervention as needed.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in social services or related field and state licensure; CPR and de-escalation training are required or provided. Onsite position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, addiction, mental health or closely related field.
• State licensure as a social worker, professional counselor, therapist or addiction counselor.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training are required or provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments to identify history, current issues and treatment needs.
• Prepare and review treatment plans and progress as assigned.
• Lead group, individual or family sessions with evidence-based modalities.
• Educate clients and families on substance abuse and mental health issues.
• Document care, incidents, and aftercare planning timely and clearly.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate with insurance carriers as needed.
• Perform case management and community workshops as required.
