We are seeking to add a Full-Time Addiction Medicine Physician to our inpatient team at CenterPointe Psychiatric Hospital, a leading provider of mental health services in St. Charles, Missouri. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients' mental and emotional health, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure medical stability. This position is vital in delivering comprehensive mental health services, focusing on improving patient outcomes and promoting well-being. About the role:

The Addiction Medicine Physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental illnesses through personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication management.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide clinical services to patients at the facility.
2. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
3. Review medical information to ensure patient stability and offer medical recommendations.
4. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
5. Treat or oversee treatment of patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
6. Complete medical documentation for individual care plans and ensure timely documentation of services.
7. Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and billing in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
• Postgraduate practice experience of one or more years preferred.
• Licensed to practice in the state of employment.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Board certification in psychiatry.
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and compliant with state regulations.
