We are seeking a Full-Time Addiction Medicine Physician to join our inpatient team at CenterPointe Psychiatric Hospital, a leading provider of mental health services in St. Charles, Missouri. The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients' mental and emotional health, develop individualized treatment plans, and ensure medical stability. This role is vital in delivering comprehensive mental health services, focusing on improving patient outcomes and promoting overall well-being. About the role:

The Addiction Medicine Physician will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental illnesses through personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication management.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide clinical services to patients at the facility.
2. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
3. Review medical information to ensure patient stability and offer medical recommendations.
4. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
5. Treat patients or direct treatment using psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
6. Complete medical documentation for individual care plans and document services promptly.
7. Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and billing in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
• Post-graduate practice experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice in the state of the facility.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Board certification in psychiatry.
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions, compliant with state regulations.
