Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide expert clinical care on the Addiction Consult Team. The NP assesses and manages patients with medical or surgical needs, initiates pharmacotherapy, and develops plans of care with rapid discharge planning.

The role entails daytime hours in a 40-hour week, with responsibilities including documentation, precepting learners, and collaboration with physicians, social workers, and recovery coaches

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Nursing is required.
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse credential is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience; 1–2 years preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies.
• Maintains high-quality documentation including admission, progress, and discharge notes.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to patient population.
