Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital seeks an Addiction Medicine SUD Nurse Practitioner to join the Addiction Consult Team, providing psychiatric evaluations and care planning. Located onsite at 1153 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, the schedule runs 9:00–18:00, four 10-hour shifts, with no weekends or holidays.

Requirements include Master’s in Nursing and Massachusetts NP licensure; a CARN-NP is preferred; expected collaboration with physicians, social workers, and recovery

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Massachusetts NP licensure required.
• CARN-NP preferred or obtained within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to psychiatric patients.
• Complete biopsychosocial and psychopharmacological evaluations on patients.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions per policies and procedures.
• Maintains high-quality and timely documentation (admission, progress notes, etc.).
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to patient population.
