Job summary

Texas Treatment Services,LLC is seeking a Counselor to provide direct addiction treatment services to adult patients and families. You will gather data, document problems, and establish treatment plans while delivering individual and group counseling within a structured clinical team.

The role involves coordinating with medical staff, ensuring charts are current, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with DHHS regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in counseling or related field, or LCDC certification in progress
• Valid driver's license or state issued ID

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to patients.
• Direct training groups and seminars; provide therapeutic leadership in group sessions.
• Coordinate with community agencies and law enforcement to ensure continuity of treatment and referrals.
• Complete initial chemical dependency assessment including psychosocial forms and patient signatures.
• Develop and maintain an individualized treatment plan with patient input and signatures.
• Keep patient charts current within 30 days; ensure treatment plans reflect goals.
• Collaborate with medical staff to obtain urine samples and document results.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and proper release of information for referrals.
• Maintain patient files in secure, DHHS-compliant manner.
• Discharge patients within seven days of discharge with complete documentation.
• Participate in daily reports, case reviews, and treatment teams.
• Educate patients about chemical dependency and recovery processes.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed and assist with education to the public.
• Participate in CQI monitors and professional development events.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and internal training
