Sunshine Behavioral Health in Bastrop, TX seeks an Addiction Counselor to assess and monitor treatment for clients with substance use disorders. You will work with the Clinical Director and Supervisor on case management, group therapy, crisis management, and discharge planning.

You will develop treatment plans, facilitate sessions, document in the EMR, and coordinate referrals while collaborating with the care team. A state license and CPR/First Aid cert are preferred.

Competenze

• Experience or education in chemical and alcohol dependency.
• Experience and/or education in crisis management.
• Ability to use motivational interviewing to reinforce change.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Ability to work with diverse religious, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients and families.
• State-appropriate license required or in process.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Mansioni

• Develop, review and adjust AOD treatment plans with clients and families.
• Initiate and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions; document in EMR.
• Provide referrals and resources to support recovery in collaboration with the treatment team.
• Develop discharge planning with client and families.
• Record health information in EMR and ensure timely documentation.
• Support case management, including FMLA/STD matters and processing.
• Collaborate with care team and treatment professionals for integrated care.
• Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action when needed.
• Attend staff meetings and monthly trainings.
