Job summary

Actalent in Rochester Hills, MI, is seeking a System Test Engineer to verify ADAS in vehicle and bench environments. You will develop test cases, operate testing equipment, and document results, collaborating with software and hardware teams to resolve issues and ensure quality.

The role requires hands-on testing experience with CAN/Ethernet/LIN, HIL/SIL platforms, and strong data analysis and reporting skills, with a focus on safety-critical automotive systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or related).
• 3+ years of experience in automotive or embedded systems testing.
• Hands-on experience testing ADAS systems or similar safety-critical automotive systems.
• Proficiency in vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN).
• Experience with HIL/SIL testing platforms (dSPACE, Vector CANoe, etc.).
• Ability to analyze data and generate detailed reports.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with ADAS sensor technologies and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases based on system requirements.
• Operate bench testing equipment and vehicle testing setups.
• Collect and document test data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze test results to identify issues, root causes, and system deficiencies.
• Generate test reports, including defect logs, test summaries, and compliance documentation.
