Job summary

Tata Technologies in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking an engineer to conduct SIL and HIL testing for ADAS/ADS software releases. You will configure test benches, vehicles, sensors, and data acquisition systems while supporting evaluation and tuning for North American conditions.

You will also develop proof-of-concept systems, analyze performance with project leaders, and help benchmark ADAS across GPS, camera, and sensor data. Some travel and on-campus work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical area.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and using data acquisition & testing equipment.
• Experience evaluating ADS or ADAS systems.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (US domestic).
• Willingness to support in-person / on-campus work up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Software-in-the-Loop (SILs) & Hardware-in-the-Loop testing of latest Electronics & ADAS systems software release.
• Configure, modify, and troubleshoot SILs/HILs test benches, test vehicles, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
• Support the evaluation and tuning of ADAS / ADS systems with a focus on North American road conditions and challenges.
• Support the development and initial implementation of proof-of-concept systems.
• Configure, modify, and troubleshoot test vehicles, sensors and data acquisition equipment.
• Communicate performance issues through project leaders to suppliers & TMC to support proposals of appropriate countermeasures.
• Implement quantitative benchmarking methods for ADAS on competitor vehicles using GPS, camera, or other sensors.
• Complete data gathering evaluations on public roads and proving grounds.
