LER Product Design, LLC seeks an ADAS/ADS Evaluation Engineer in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 1 day/week. Duties: evaluate current and future Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)/Automated Driving Systems (ADS) to ensure compliance with defined performance requirements; prepare systems, vehicles, test equipment, and logistics for evaluation drives, and analyze collected data; support the evaluation and tuning of ADAS and ADS, focusing on North American road conditions; support the development and initial implementation of proof-of-concept systems; configure, modify, and troubleshoot test vehicles, sensors, and data acquisition equipment; communicate performance issues to suppliers and support proposals for appropriate countermeasures; implement quantitative benchmark methods for ADAS for competitor vehicles using GPS, cameras and other sensors; complete data gathering evaluations on public roads and proving grounds; analyze test data and recommend performance changes.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive systems engineering, or related field, and two years of experience in a vehicle validation engineering position. Must have two years of experience in all of the following: CANalyzer, Vbox, or Panel 4; ADAS software validation; HIL-based testing and validation of digital control systems; vehicle testing of safety feature performance, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Crash Imminent Braking (CIB), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
