Base pay range

$62.00/hr - $72.00/hr

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct virtual validation of ADAS/AD driving, safety & parking functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Highway Assist, Lane Change Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Protection, Automated Parking, etc.
  2. Create and update virtual models and simulation setups; develop and execute scenarios for feature validation at vehicle level; post-process results; generate reports; discuss and present findings to ADAS leadership.
  3. Develop pre- and post-processing scripts, select scenarios, and map validation cases to feature requirements, ensuring model fidelity.
  4. Correlate virtual modeling results with actual vehicle test data as needed for different fidelity models.
  5. Utilize state-of-the-art processes and tools in a collaborative environment.
  6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as ADAS software, vehicle chassis, powertrain, and infotainment for validation and development activities.
  7. Work with suppliers and represent the ADAS validation team.
  8. Explore approaches like HIL, SIL, and Vehicle-In-Loop for virtual validation.
  9. Develop and execute virtual validation test plans on high-performance computers or cloud platforms.
  10. Experience with ADAS virtual simulation tools (e.g., IPG CarMaker, Applied Intuition, CARLA, CarSim, Ansys, Simens) and HIL systems.
  11. Understanding of Open Scenario format.
  12. Experience with ADAS features in mass production, working with automotive Tier 1/2 suppliers or OEMs.
  13. Programming skills (Python, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink) for automation and post-processing.
  14. Demonstrate creativity and ownership in project completion within innovative environments.
  15. Excellent communication skills.
Advantages:
  1. Experience simulating ADAS/AD features at OEM or Tier 1.
  2. Model development and correlation experience, especially on cloud platforms.
  3. On-road testing experience for ADAS features.
  4. Knowledge of SOTIF, ISO 26262, NCAP standards.
  5. Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software interactions within ADAS/AD systems.
  6. Experience with Vector tools: CANoe, CANape, CAPL.
  7. Proficiency with agile tools (Jira, Jama, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
  1. BSc in System, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar, with 2+ years in automotive engineering.
  2. Or MSc in the same fields.
