Duties
LER Product Design, LLC seeks an Analyst - Crash & Safety in Columbus, Indiana, and various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 1 day/week. Duties: develop vehicle safety systems for next generation vehicles, starting from block diagram architecture phase; work with Advanced Vehicle Crash Safety and Program Design teams; define safety system content and influence architecture that ensures vehicle platform targets are met; perform CAE analysis and work with test engineers to develop vehicle safety systems; analyze test data and CAE results; liaise with automotive suppliers and global teams to build, test and verify safety systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, engineering mechanics, automotive systems engineering, or related field, and two years of experience in a CAE engineering or related position. Must have two years of experience in all of the following: pre- and post-processors (LS-Prepost, HyperMesh, HyperView, ANSA, META, or Primer); FEA simulation software (LS-Dyna); CAD software (CATIA); application of NCAP and FMVSS regulations; DFMEA.
