Job summary

Allied Services in Scranton, PA seeks a part-time Wellness Coordinator to develop and facilitate a comprehensive wellness program for adults with intellectual disabilities. Under Clinical Manager supervision, you will drive movement, activity participation, and healthy habits, tailoring sessions to individual abilities.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree in Healthcare Administration or related field, 1–3 years in healthcare or human services, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field required.
• 1–3 years experience in a healthcare or educational setting; 3 years in human services preferred.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Cleared PA State Police Criminal History Check.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary approach to program planning.
• Ability to facilitate activities for residents with varying abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate engaging movement and wellness activities reflecting each resident’s abilities and goals.
• Develop and implement individual and small-group wellness sessions encouraging participation and healthy routines.
• Modify activities to promote accessibility and meaningful participation for residents with disabilities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to assess eligibility and obtain medical clearance.
• Maintain documentation on activities, schedules, participation, and outcomes.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment; recognize progress and motivate continued activity.
• Train staff on Wellness Program activities and equipment to promote consistency.
• Maintain inventory of Wellness Program equipment and supplies.
