Job summary

National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) is a leading provider of adaptive outdoor recreation in Colorado. The Program Instructor teaches adaptive sports and recreation to individuals with disabilities, leading winter and summer programming, and coordinating group lessons and clinics.

The role requires CPR and First Aid within a month of offer, a valid driver’s license, and ability to swim in moving water.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• College degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Special Education, or related field preferred.
• Current CPR and Advanced First Aid required within a month of offer.

Responsibilities

• Lead winter and summer programming including adaptive activities.
• Teach individual or group lessons and assess progress.
• Maintain safety procedures and accurate records of participation.
