Job summary

NSCD, Colorado’s leading adaptive outdoor recreation provider, seeks an Equipment and Facilities Specialist to support the equipment and facilities team. You will set up and tune adaptive equipment, assist with client fittings, and perform routine maintenance of gear for programs.

You will also document activities, maintain participant records, and operate equipment and vehicles as needed, while upholding safety and professionalism in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

Qualifications

  • Ski/snowboard rental shop experience with a background in mechanics and tools required.
  • Boot fitting knowledge, including canting and foot bed construction.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be computer proficient and possess experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and assess and change priorities based upon agency needs.
  • Strategic thinker who communicates professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Background check criteria and clearance to drive NSCD vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in equipment fitting and adaptations for clients.
  • Set up adaptive equipment for group and individual lessons.
  • Assemble, inspect, maintain and modify equipment for programs.
  • Operate shop tools and drive NSCD vehicles as needed.
  • Complete documentation and maintain participant records.
  • Maintain safety procedures and professional conduct at all times.
