Job summary

The City of Roseville's Parks, Recreation & Libraries team is growing an adaptive program for people with disabilities. The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (temporary and part-time) will help create new programs and events and contribute to an inclusive community.

The ideal candidate will bring experience or education in therapeutic recreation and will work to develop engaging activities within a supportive, mission-driven department dedicated to accessibility and quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience: None required.
• Training: Completion of twelve (12) college course units in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy, or closely related field.
• License: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license.
• CPR and First Aid certificates within six (6) months of hire.
• Foreign degree evaluation may be required for equivalency per city policy.
