Job summary

City of Roseville is seeking an Activity Instructor for the Parks, Recreation & Libraries Department. This temporary, part-time role is limited to 25 hours per week (up to 1,000 hours per fiscal year) with a schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Instructors are paid per participant or at least $16.90 per hour, whichever is higher, depending on enrollment. Qualifications include CPR and First Aid within six months of hire, and at least an eleventh-grade education or being 16 years old.

Qualifications

• Paid or unpaid experience in an appropriate subject area.
• Equivalent to completion of the eleventh grade or sixteen (16) years of age.
• Possession of CPR and First Aid certificates within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead on planning, teaching, and evaluating classes and activities.
• Work schedule varies by program and season and may include evenings and weekends.
• Instructors are paid per participant based on total enrollment, activity and level of experience required; minimum pay $16.90 per hour if enrollment minimum is not met.
