Job summary

The City of Roseville Parks, Recreation & Libraries Department is seeking a motivated individual to help create a new adaptive program focused on people with disabilities. The position is temporary and part-time, with requirements including a California driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification within six months of hire.

Experience is not required, but twelve college course units in Therapeutic Recreation or closely related field are needed.

Qualifications

• Experience: None required.
• Training: Completion of twelve (12) college course units in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy, or closely related field.
• License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license. Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR and First Aid certificates within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create new adaptive program and events specifically for people with disabilities.
• Assist in developing a new Therapeutic Recreation program within the Parks, Recreation & Libraries Department.
