Job summary

The City of Roseville, California is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to help create a new adaptive program for people with disabilities. This position will contribute to program design, operations, and event planning in the Parks, Recreation & Libraries Department.

The ideal candidate has education or experience in therapeutic recreation and is capable of developing inclusive activities, coordinating with staff and community partners, and supporting participants with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of twelve (12) college course units in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy, or closely related field.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR and First Aid certificates within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Create new adaptive programs and events for people with disabilities.
