Job summary

Edu-Aids is seeking an Adapted PE Instructor for Canal Winchester, OH. This part-time role (2 days per week) focuses on developing motor skills, fitness, confidence, and social interaction through inclusive PE programs for students with diverse needs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in PE or a related field, and Ohio PE licensure is preferred. Strong collaboration with staff and families is essential to student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Valid Ohio teaching license or PE certification preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of inclusive instruction principles.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement adapted PE lessons tailored to students' abilities.
• Modify activities and equipment for accessibility and participation.
• Provide direct instruction in various settings (individual, small-group, classroom).
• Support students in achieving PE and IEP goals when applicable.
• Assess progress and monitor during the year.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families.
• Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
• Ensure a safe, positive, inclusive environment during activities.
• Participate in meetings, PD, and training as required.
