Job summary

Edu-Aids is seeking a motivated Adapted PE Instructor to join our team in Canal Winchester, OH. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students with diverse learning and physical needs develop motor skills, physical fitness, confidence, and social interaction through individualized and inclusive physical education programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Valid Ohio teaching license or PE certification preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities in educational/therapeutic settings
• Knowledge of adapted physical education principles and inclusive teaching practices
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement adapted physical education lessons based on students' abilities and needs.
• Modify activities and equipment for accessibility and participation.
• Provide direct instruction in various settings.
• Support students in achieving PE and IEP goals when applicable.
• Assess progress and monitor performance throughout the year.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, admins, and families to promote success.
• Maintain records and documentation.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive PE environment.
• Participate in meetings and professional development.
