Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, Special Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Ohio teaching license or certification in Physical Education preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities in educational or therapeutic settings preferred.
• Knowledge of adaptive physical education principles and inclusive teaching practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement adapted physical education lessons based on students' individual abilities and needs.
• Modify activities, equipment, and techniques to ensure accessibility and participation.
• Provide direct instruction to students in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
• Support students in achieving PE and IEP-related goals when applicable.
• Assess student performance and monitor progress throughout the school year.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment during all PE activities.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training as required.
