Job summary

Axon is seeking a Training Manager, Adaptive Control, to scale combatives and defensive-tactics training across the United States. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead an instructor cadre, manage logistics, and ensure high-quality delivery aligned with Global Training Services standards.

You will travel domestically to administer training, demonstrations, and engagements, and you will contribute to curriculum development, coaching systems, and long-term strategic growth with Adaptive

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of relevant operational and/or instructional experience in combatives, defensive tactics, martial arts, or closely related fields.
• Proven competency and experience as an instructor over an extended period; ability to apply modern coaching methodologies, adult learning principles, and performance-based instruction.
• Prior law enforcement or military experience (required).
• Experience within SWAT, tactical teams, special operations, or other specialized units (preferred).
• Active practitioner with ongoing personal skill development.
• Strong leadership and personnel management experience (preferred).
• Experience developing curriculum or large-scale training programs (preferred).
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support day-to-day operations of Adaptive Control courses and programs within the United States.
• Lead and coordinate a team of Adaptive Control instructors and coaches; ensure delivery standards.
• Ensure logistics, on-site execution, instructional quality, and post-course follow-up meet standards.
• Support growth and expansion of Adaptive Control training initiatives and recruitment.
• Travel domestically to administer training, demonstrations, and engagements.
• Represent Adaptive Control professionally during courses and events.
• Deliver or support instructor certification and operator courses.
