Responsibilities

• Create an educational environment conducive to learning and prepare instructional materials.
• Establish classroom behavior standards and manage classroom.
• Assess student progress and provide reports to parents and staff.
• Plan curriculum and prepare lessons to meet student needs.
• Collaborate with parents, administrators, specialists, and staff to develop educational programs.
• Create learning materials tailored to students’ abilities and interests.
• Instruct using strategies to develop sensory, motor, language, and social skills.
• Motivate students and provide feedback on learning activities.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and regulations.
• Support administration with school policies and student conduct.
• Sponsor student activities and tutor students as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
