Job summary

Spring Branch ISD is seeking a Special Education Teacher – Adaptive Behavior to lead the instructional program for students with severe emotional/behavioral needs. You will design and deliver tailored lessons, implement behavior intervention plans, and monitor progress to meet IEP goals.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsement, and ESL certification within the first year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state equivalent.
  • Special education certificate is required.
  • ESL Certification must be obtained during first year.
  • Certifications must meet Federal/State requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the district's philosophy of instruction.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans with accommodations for different learning styles.
  • Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
  • Assist in developing/writing students' IEPs.
  • Follow instructional objectives based on student learning styles.
  • Implement new methodologies, philosophies and innovations.
  • Attend required meetings and complete required reports.
