Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher – Adaptive Behavior to oversee instructional programs for students with special needs. You will apply behavioral strategies, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and staff.

The role requires a valid Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsement and ESL certification if not already obtained. 188 non-student days and a probationary/term contract are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid teaching certificate required.
• Special education certification required; ESL cert if not already held.
• Certification must meet federal/state licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district philosophy of instruction.
• Develop and implement lesson plans with required accommodations.
• Prepare lessons reflecting learning-style accommodations per TEA/Policies.
• Identify/evaluate learner competencies and set goals/objectives.
• Assist in developing/writing students' IEPs and progress.
• Follow instructional objectives based on student learning styles.
• Implement new methodologies and innovations.
• Maintain open communications with parents and staff.
• Participate in staff development and comply with applicable policies.
