Job summary

Cosmo is seeking a dedicated tutor for online learning, connecting K-12 students with tutors from top universities. This independent contractor position offers a flexible schedule, paying $20 USD per class plus incentives. Ideal candidates are experienced educators with a Bachelor's degree, capable of providing personalized 1 on 1 instruction. Requirements include at least 3 years teaching experience in math, strong communication skills, and a passionate, patient demeanor. Candidates must be available for a minimum of 20 hours weekly, primarily between 3-10 PM EST.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 in math.
• Experience with K-12 Math standards.
• Teaching license preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection.
• Access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available between 3-10 PM EST Monday through Friday or during the weekends.
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability on a weekly basis.
• Access to a private and quiet location.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for students.
• Update availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
