The Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) Call Center Representative provides exceptional customer service to riders by handling incoming calls, scheduling reservations, and assisting with trip details. This role serves the general public and the ADA community, ensuring accessible and courteous service in a high-volume center.

Based in Chattanooga, TN, the position requires evening and weekend availability and offers a full-time, non-exempt schedule with a competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional customer service experience.
• Experience in call center operations, transportation services, or ADA-related roles is preferred.
• Must have a strong knowledge of the Chattanooga and Hamilton County areas.
• Must have a clear telephone voice, with excellent organization and communication skills.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be a motivated, self-starter who requires minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, determine the caller's intent and connect appropriately.
• Dispatch CARTA's demand response service.
• Operate a PC with Microsoft Office software daily.
• Greet visitors and provide accurate information in a friendly manner.
• Schedule CARTA's demand response and paratransit services.
• Deal with the public in a calm and professional manner.
