Job summary

TELUS Santé is seeking a Specialist of Absence and Disability Management to oversee the ADA interactive process and manage FMLA and other leaves, as well as STD claims. The role requires navigating regulatory requirements and coordinating return-to-work plans with employees and managers. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of comprehensive experience in US Leaves and Disability Case Management and knowledge of the various legislative requirements.
• 3 years of ADA case management experience.
• Associate’s Degree.
• Strong interpersonal and helping skills with superior assessment and problem solving.
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to work online in a paperless environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage accommodation claims by advising clients on reasonable accommodations under the ADA interactive process.
• Manage and process FMLA and other federal/state leaves and STD claims.
• Handle DOL category claims, re-certifications, and second/third opinions.
• Conduct case assessments with employees, managers/HR, and gather information for assessment.
• Develop return-to-work plans and coordinate with supervisors and employees.
• Communicate with client representatives regarding case management issues and SOPs.
