Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a full-time Acute Surgical RN for night shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, document care, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop care plans. A minimum of 1 year RN experience is required; a BLS certification is mandatory.

Preferred BSN and Texas Nursing Licensure. The role includes a $5000 bonus and a competitive benefits package with PTO, healthcare, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs and accurately documents physical, psychosocial, and emotional assessments.
• Develops an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Prioritizes nursing interventions based on assessments and monitors patient changes.
• Documents interventions accurately and timely; participates in education and discharge planning.
• Ensures adherence to hospital policies and ANA standards; contributes to quality and safety initiatives.
• Provides patient and family education and involvement in care planning.
