Job summary

BayCare Health System, Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL, seeks a compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join an acute care rehabilitation team providing diagnostic and therapeutic services for adults with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders following stroke or other medical conditions.

The role requires CCC-SLP, BLS, and a Masters in Speech Therapy, with 1 year clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology) required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• Speech Therapy License required.
• Master's degree in Speech Therapy is required.
• 1 year clinical related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in acute care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehab professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Document patient progress, plans, and outcomes per hospital standards.
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.

Morton Plant Hospital , part of the BayCare Health System , is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our acute care rehabilitation team. This role provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to adult patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders resulting from stroke, neurological conditions, trauma, or other medical complexities.

Acute Care Speech Therapist Pool Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing impairments in an acute care setting.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.

• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.

• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.

• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning.

Requirements:
