Job summary

BayCare Health System in Plant City, FL, is seeking an Outpatient Speech Therapist for a Pool/PRN role. You will evaluate and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient clinic, collaborating with physicians and other therapists.

Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and educating patients and families about therapy goals. Occasional weekend work; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; in-person only.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification required for clinicians.
• BLS certification required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• State licensure in Speech Therapy required.
• Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide outpatient speech therapy sessions and document progress in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and team members for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals and strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development.

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Outpatient Speech Therapist (Pool/PRN) who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. Outpatient Speech Therapist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
• Provide speech therapy sessions in an outpatient clinic setting
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with HIPAA and clinic standards
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other team members for coordinated patient care
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy goals and strategies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall development of the rehabilitation program
• Stay current with evidence-based practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology

Requirements:

• CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Speech Therapy License
• Required Master's Speech Therapy
• Preferred Doctorate Speech Therapy
• 1 year Clinical Related is preferred
