Job summary

Sentara Health, a major Mid-Atlantic health system, seeks a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead acute/post-acute recruitment. You will oversee 12-15 recruiters and coordinators, shaping system-wide staffing strategies for clinical and operational roles across acute care settings.

You will drive workforce planning, brand-building, and data-informed hiring practices, ensuring timely, compliant, and quality hires that support safe patient care at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 5 years of recruitment experience and 3 years of leadership experience required; recruitment leadership experience preferred.
• Experience managing a team of recruiters at scale (high-volume hiring environment) preferred.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 12-15 recruiters and coordinators.
• Develop and execute recruitment strategy, programs, and policies across the system.
• Own full-cycle hiring oversight for full-time, part-time, flexipool, and temporary roles.
• Lead workforce planning and hiring forecasts with clinical and operational leaders.
• Build and strengthen employer brand within the acute/post-acute care community.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop Talent Acquisition Advisors, Consultants, and Specialists.
• Partner with leadership to fill high-acuity and hard-to-fill roles.
• Ensure compliance with licensure, credentialing, and hiring requirements.
