Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and develop individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients directly and rehabilitation technicians indirectly, and oversee PT assistants under State Practice Acts.

Adhere to Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards while collaborating with the therapy leadership. Required are a PT degree (BS/MS/DPT), current/licensure in the state, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Six months to one year of rehab experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Follow Mercy Service Standards and departmental policies.
