Job summary

Mercy seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. You will supervise patients directly and rehabilitation staff, ensuring care aligns with Mercy Service Standards and policies under Therapy Leadership guidance.

Qualified candidates hold a DPT or MS in Physical Therapy (or BPT) and a current state license, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy in the state.
• BLS certification required and current before independent care.
• Six months to one year of Rehabilitation Physical Therapist experience preferred, especially with adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; oversee PT assistants as per State Practice Acts.
• Adhere to Mercy mission, values and service standards while delivering care under Therapy Leadership supervision.
