Job summary

BayCare Health System is recruiting an Acute Physical Therapist Assistant to join the Rehabilitation Services team at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. This full-time role supports therapists in delivering interventions and helping patients regain mobility and function.

Requirements include BLS, PTA credential, licensure within 6 months, and an associate degree in Physical Therapy. Benefits include PTO, 401k match, tuition reimbursement, and annual bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists with interventions used in physical therapy and rehabilitation for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and orthopedic conditions.
• Collaborate with therapists to help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve physical function.
• May progress patients in the treatment plan developed by the therapist.
• Provide supervision for Rehabilitation Technicians and related staff under a licensed PT.
• A supervising PT may supervise one permittee at a time.

Acute Physical Therapy Assistant responsibilities:

• Assists Physical Therapists with the administration of interventions utilized in physical therapy and rehabilitationfor patients with various musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and orthopedic conditions.
• Collaborate with the therapist to help patients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve overall physical function.
• May progress patients/residents in the treatment plan developed by the physical therapist.
• May provide direct clinical supervision for Rehabilitation Technicians, Massage Therapists, Athletic Trainers and Fitness Specialists. Team members with temporary permits must work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist that has been licensed for a minimum of six months.
• A supervising licensed Physical Therapist may only supervise one permittee at any given time.

Requirements :

• Required Associate's Physical Therapy
