Job summary

BayCare Health System seeks a Physical Therapist for a Pool/PRN position in Winter Haven, FL. The role supports high-acuity programs in a hospital setting, with 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shifts, occasional weekends, and no on-call obligations.

Required are BLS, PT licensure (or eligibility/temporary licensure within 6 months), and a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy. One year of PT experience is preferred. This position is non-benefit eligible and located at Winter Haven, FL.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• PT license or eligibility to obtain in Florida.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Prior PT experience preferred (1 year).
• Eligible for licensure within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other therapists to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and post-discharge recommendations.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Acute Physical Therapist Pool/PRN Responsibilities
