Job summary

BayCare is hiring an Acute Physical Therapist (Pool) for St. Joseph’s North in Lutz, FL. The role supports patient mobility, strength, balance, and independence, with Sundays 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and days as needed, weekend every other, no on-call.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• PT license or eligibility to obtain in Florida is required.
• BLS certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other therapists to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and post-discharge recommendations.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Shift Hours: Sundays 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; weekdays as needed

Physical Therapist (Pool) Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required: PT (Physical Therapy) License
• OR PT (Physical Therapy) – Eligible to Obtain
• OR PT (Physical Therapy) – Temporary, with licensure within 6 months
• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
• Preferred: 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
