Job summary

BayCare Health System in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking an Acute Physical Therapist to provide patient-centered care at St. Anthony's Hospital.

You will perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions to improve strength, balance, and mobility. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and rehab colleagues, you will ensure coordinated care. Required BLS and PT licensure, with eligibility to obtain or licensure within 6 months, on

Qualifications

• Required BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Required PT (Physical Therapy) license or eligible to obtain.
• Licensure within 6 months if new graduate.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve strength, balance, and functional mobility.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe movement techniques, home exercise programs, and discharge planning.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient-centered care plans.
