Job summary

BayCare Health System in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Rehab Services team at St. Anthony's Hospital.

This full-time role provides patient-focused care and supports a diverse community with access to advanced facilities and a collaborative, compassionate environment. Responsibilities include evaluating and designing treatment plans, supervising PT staff and students, and ensuring compliant, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Licensed PT or eligible for licensure within 6 months.
• Bachelor's in Physical Therapy is required.
• Preferred 1 year Physical Therapist experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients/residents.
• Provides clinical direction for Physical Therapy staff and students.
• Supervises temporary permittees under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Physical Therapist - responsibilities:

• Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients/residents based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy.
• Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, Massage Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Fitness Specialists, Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant students and volunteers.
• Team members with temporary permits must work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist that has been licensed for a minimum of six months. A supervising licensed Physical Therapist may only supervise one permittee at any given time.

Requirements:

• Required BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required PT (Physical Therapy)
• Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain
• Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
• Required Bachelor's Physical Therapy
• Preferred 1 year Physical Therapist
