The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia’s UVA Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for 3 South Acute Oncology, a specialized inpatient unit. You will deliver comprehensive oncology care to a diverse patient population on a 28-bed unit focused on complex treatment and symptom management.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for individuals with complex oncology diagnoses and co-morbidities.
• Administer and monitor advanced infusions, including chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized care plans.
• Provide ongoing symptom management and patient education to support patients and families throughout treatment.
• Engage in a highly interactive team environment that values communication, feedback, and continuous improvement.
