Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3 South Acute Oncology unit, night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. Deliver comprehensive oncology nursing care to patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors on a 28-bed unit.

You will collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team to implement individualized plans, administer advanced infusions, manage symptoms, and support patients and families through treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for oncology patients.
• Administer and monitor advanced infusions, including chemotherapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the care team to implement individualized care plans.
• Provide ongoing symptom management and patient education.
• Engage in a team environment that values communication and improvement.
• Develop leadership skills within the unit.

Education

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or equivalent
