University of Virginia Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3 South Acute Oncology unit on the night shift in Charlottesville, VA. The role focuses on complex oncology care within a 28-bed inpatient unit, delivering chemotherapy, blood products, and specialized infusions while engaging families and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires BSN within 5 years, 1 year of relevant experience, Virginia RN licensure, and AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for oncology patients on a 28-bed unit.
• Administer and monitor advanced infusions including chemotherapy and blood products.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and care team to implement care plans.
• Provide symptom management and patient education to patients and families.
• Support a collaborative, team-first work environment and ongoing quality improvement.
• Develop leadership skills and take increasing ownership of patient care on the unit.
