Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA seeks an APRN/PA to join a subspecialty team delivering acute oncology care across the cancer center, including urgent care, infusion reactions, and emergencies. You will provide same-day evaluation and treatment, manage oncologic emergencies, and collaborate with infusion, nursing, pharmacy and other services.

The role offers four 10-hour shifts weekly with day/evening coverage, with strong interdisciplinary support and opportunities to shape new care models

Qualifications

• Experience in acute oncology emergencies and infusion reactions.
• Ability to manage acutely ill oncology patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and care coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations and develop differential diagnoses.
• Provide rapid assessment and management of oncology emergencies across the cancer center.
• Respond to infusion reactions with assessment, treatment, monitoring, and escalation.
• Coordinate same-day evaluation and treatment for acute oncology symptoms.
• Collaborate with oncology team and other departments to ensure timely care.
