UVA Health’s 3 South Acute Oncology unit in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Registered Nurse to provide inpatient oncology care, focusing on complex cases and high-quality patient interaction.

You will administer advanced infusions, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and support patients and families throughout treatment. Requires BSN within 5 years, Virginia RN license, and BLS; 1 year oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program; BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in Virginia; BLS required.
• 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Deliver direct patient care for individuals with oncology diagnoses and co-morbidities.
• Administer and monitor advanced infusions, including chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized care plans.
• Provide ongoing symptom management and patient education to support patients and families.
• Engage in a highly interactive team environment emphasizing communication and continuous improvement.
• Take on increasing ownership of patient care and leadership within the unit.
