Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking an experienced APP to join a fast-paced oncology/urgent care team. You will respond to emergencies, manage infusion reactions, and provide same-day evaluation for acute oncology needs within the cancer center.

Role requires PA/NP training, VA licensure or eligibility, ACLS (PALS/NRP as needed), and strong clinical decision-making with multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program with VA licensure or eligibility.
• Experience managing oncologic emergencies, infusion reactions and treatment toxicities.
• ACLS certification and ability to maintain emergency competencies; PALS/NRP as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform H&P, analyze data, and develop differential diagnoses.
• Provide rapid management of oncology emergencies and acute deterioration.
• Respond to infusion reactions and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate tests, procedures and referrals with the oncology team.
• Demonstrate autonomous clinical practice within interdisciplinary support.
